Dr. Wildgoose-Lister was born and raised in Albuquerque. She received her DVM from Colorado State University in 2009 and joined Manzano Animal Clinic in 2010. Dr. Wildgoose-Lister shares her home with Lola, a German Shepherd, Jersey, a Beagle mix, Ella, a Pomeranian mix, and two cats: Willow and Marco Polo. When not working, she enjoys training and playing with her girls, socializing over coffee with friends, and other various hobbies that she is reacquiring. Two of her favorite things about veterinary medicine include the puzzles presented to her by her patients and her interactions with clients and their pets.
Dr. Cummings-Hurst was born and raised in the Seattle area of Washington state. She received her DVM from Washington State University in 2008, then went on to complete a private practice internship at Willamette Valley Equine Medical and Surgical Center in northwestern Oregon. Craving warmer weather, she moved to New Mexico in 2009 where she worked as a mixed animal practitioner for 4 years. During this time, Dr. Cummings-Hurst developed a particular enjoyment for small animal medicine and decided to focus her time in this area. She joined Manzano Animal Clinic in 2016. Dr. Cummings-Hurst and her husband share their home with Rupert, a Welsh Corgi mix. She lost her beloved British Shorthair cat, Penelope, at the age of 21 after adopting her 11 years prior. She was a perfect little lady and left large paw-prints to fill! When not working, she enjoys riding and training her horse Ophelia in dressage, trail riding and hiking with her husband, spending time with Rupert, singing and playing the piano. Some of her favorite things about veterinary medicine are client education, preventative care, and chronic disease management.
Dr. Sandstede was born in Denver and grew up in Parker, Colorado. She received her DVM from Colorado State University in 2006 and joined Manzano Animal Clinic in 2011. Dr. Sandstede and her husband share their home with three cats: Meatloaf, Liam, and Darwin. When not working, she enjoys mountain biking, gardening, hiking, scuba diving, reading, and exploring New Mexico. Her favorite thing about veterinary medicine is improving our companions’ lives and well being.
Dr. Hoshen was born in Israel and grew up near Chicago, Illinois. She received her DVM from Colorado State University in 2001. Dr. Hoshen has practiced small animal medicine in New Mexico for the past ten years and joined Manzano Animal Clinic in 2016. She has a special interest in acupuncture which is an exciting modality to be able to now offer at our hospital. Dr. Hoshen shares her home with three Salukis: Tavi, Mira, and Larissa, an Afghan Hound named Goddie, and Orangie the cat. When not at work, Dr. Hoshen enjoys canine sports photography and exploring the outdoors with her dogs. Two of her favorite things about veterinary medicine include being able to work with people and their animals together everyday and the intellectual challenges of the field.
Dr. Nick Hopkins was born in La Grange, Illinois and moved to Albuquerque in the second grade. He went to New Mexico State University for his undergraduate studies and then received his DVM from Washington State University in 2004. Dr. Hopkins has been in private practice in the Albuquerque area ever since and joined Manzano Animal Clinic in April 2018. He has two dogs, Moof and Shenzie, who help dust the house (bring dust in from outside!). When not working, he enjoys movies, reading and tabletop story games. He has just started weight lifting. His favorite thing about veterinary medicine is reconstructive wound management.
Dr. Holly Erickson was born and raised in Peru, Illinois. She received her DVM from the University of Illinois in 2004 and moved to New Mexico after graduation. She began private practice in the Albuquerque area as a small animal veterinarian and joined Manzano Animal Clinic in 2019. Dr. Erickson and her husband live in the East mountains and share their home with two dogs, Monty, a Corgi, and Mia, a spoiled Yorkshire terrier. They also have two horses, Addy and Zorro, both Percheron crosses, that they enjoy riding in their free time. They also have a goat named Frankie and several chickens. When not at work, Dr. Erickson enjoys motorcycle riding with her husband, hiking, gardening, and spending time outdoors. Her favorite thing about veterinary medicine is working with clients to give their pets the best quality of life through progressive medicine and client education. She loves the journey that she gets to take with our pets every day to keep them healthy.
