Tija was born in Albuquerque and grew up in Portland, Maine. She eventually returned to the southwest and graduated from CNM with an Associate of Applied Science in Integrated Studies and then earned her Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. Tija has a super cute little Boston Terrier named Sam. When she is not working, Tija enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, hiking, going horseback riding, and painting pet portraits. Her favorite thing about veterinary medicine is being able to make pets and their owners feel better. Tija has been a part of our team since 2019.
